The Advanced Pain Management Institute (“APMI”) is a fully integrated, comprehensive pain management clinic with state-of-the-art equipment available on site. At APMI, we specialize in comprehensive pain evaluations, interventional pain management and opioid detoxification. Our team of providers, lead by Valery D. Tarasenko, M.D., takes pride in having a professional, experienced team of certified health care specialists who attend to patients in Northern California in a compassionate, low-stress environment. For patients with chronic pain, the APMI approach is multidisciplinary. Our board-certified pain management specialists work closely with other specialists including neurologists, psychologists, orthopedic and spine surgeons, and psychiatrists to optimally coordinate the care of our patients.

Valery D. Tarasenko, MD
DIPLOMATE, AMERICAN BOARD OF PAIN MEDICINE
With extensive background in surgery and anesthesiology, Dr. Tarasenko has also completed formal Fellowship training in Pain Management at UC Davis Medical Center. He has been in private practice since 2001, focusing on chronic pain conditions with special interest in interventional spinal diagnostic and treatment modalities. Dr. Tarasenko has completed the training and is holding a special DEA license to utilize Suboxone therapy for opioid dependency in an outpatient setting. He is the founder and Medical Director of the Advanced Pain Management Institute.
